A high concentration of sulfated galactans give Calliblepharis jubata moisturizing and softening properties. It also contains Floridean starch, which is involved in the synthesis of collagen, an essential ingredient for tissue regeneration (stimulates a 72% increase in collagen 1 synthesis).

Where to find it?

This red seaweed with its characteristic feathery filamented form is found in abundance on the Atlantic and Brittany coasts.
