Water reservoir & regulator
To compensate for the water it loses at low tide, Codium produces a characteristic compound of sulfated sugars. These molecules, rich in glucuronic acid, limit and regulate dehydration. A formula containing Codium extract will therefore provide immediate, deep and lasting hydration. It will help the skin better resist exposure to high heat and the sun, among other conditions.
It also regenerates, stimulates and revitalizes the skin.
Where to find it?
This seaweed has the appearance of a green downy bouquet of thick tubes. It is not well known in Europe, despite being abundant. In Asia, it is a common food. We source our Codium tomentosum from the Côtes d’Armor in Brittany.
